Our instructor, Shawn Bodily is a former Non-Commissioned
Officer in the Marine Corps Infantry, who has deployed twice to the middle
east. Most recently, to Afghanistan, where he was part of Operation Khanjar,
where he took part in multiple engagements with Taliban fighters. After
returning from Afghanistan in late 2009, and receiving an Honorable Discharge
from the Marine Corps in June of 2010, he began instructing people in the safe
handling and use of firearms, particularly concealed carry, in an effort to
share his knowledge with others. As a strong supporter of the second
amendment he wants to educate people about firearms and encourage them to
exercise this important right. He is a NRA certified instructor and is
certified by the Utah Bureau of Criminal Investigation to teach Utah Concealed
Firearms Permit Courses.
